You’ll find serenity, security and splendor at the only mansion in Meigs County, Ohio, Coventry Manor, which is steeped in history and tradition. The dream home of Clara (Fay) McHaffie-Rawlings caused two contractors to file bankruptcy before finally being undertaken financially by the McHaffies (known for the best Moonshine this side of the Mississippi) family. Good thing too because the depression had struck and the home was completed and provided a safe haven for many who looked to Clara and Richard H. Rawlings (harness makers and undertaking since 1870, then a Dodge dealership) for help and advice.
The ensuing years raised generations of community and civic leaders. Ownership was transferred to the late Dr. Averion in 1976.
The present owners, Mr. and Mrs. Dellavalle are committed to the care, preservation and restoration of national landmarks. There is no doubt that anyone staying here would wish to remain here. The ambience is exceeded only by the natural surroundings and the blessings of nature.
